Russia Says U.S. No Longer Rules The World

In the past year, I saw the world events swiftly changing to as they should according to the prophecies. Though I have expected the events as explained in this website and the book, I have not expected them to happened so fast. Examples of my expectations are the worsening relationship between Europe and the U.S., the influx of refugees to Europe as they escape the turmoil in the Middle East, America getting isolated from the rest of the world. All these are clear indications and preparation of how the world, the major players would become as described in the prophecies.

Consider now the country of Russia of which the Bible describes as the Edom, the "Red". Russian has been keeping a low profile in the last several years. It had not gotten involved with the crisis in the Middle East involving the ISIS until recently that it had started to flex its muscles in order to save Syria from onslaught by rebels and even by the West. Russia was successful but there were challenges.

Recently, there are reports that some Russians were killed as a result of the U.S. led bombing against pro-Assad forces. Russia kept a low profile on this incident. Then there was the alleged attempted assassination of a former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salidbury, England. England's Prime Minister expelled 23 Russian diplomats as a result. Other including the U.S. followed suit including economic sanctions as a show of solidarity of the allies. Then Russian, wasted no time, retaliated with expulsion of western diplomats of its own. On March 15, 2018 just as Theresa May announced the expulsion of Russian diplomats, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a forum promoting investment in his country that the West-led world order was no more and Moscow would pursue its own foreign policy path, despite new challenges across the globe and beyond.

An excerpt from that news report as follows:

The Kremlin's top diplomat blamed recent tensions on the "categorical reluctance of the United States and its western allies to agree that the 500-year-long period of western domination in world affairs is coming to an end," saying such a transition would be difficult for those who "are in the habit of ruling the world for centuries."

In one of the most recent challenges to Russia's relationship with the West, London has accused Moscow of being behind the poisoning of a former Russian spy who fled to the U.K. after he was arrested for being a double agent and released in a 2010 prisoner swap. Russia has denied the charges, but the U.K. has already moved to expel 23 Russian diplomats.

"The response will come very quickly, I can assure you," Lavrov reportedly said when asked about Moscow's reaction to the measures.

The U.S. has also expelled diplomats and issued sanctions against Russia after accusing it of covertly helping President Donald Trump win the 2016 election. Both Russia and Trump deny being a part of the conspiracy, but relations have not recovered since.

Russia and the West have not only been at odds politically. The U.S.-led military alliance NATO has boosted its military might across Russia's borders following Moscow's 2014 annexation of the Crimean Peninsula as unrest gripped Ukraine. Both Russia and NATO have bolstered their defenses and conducted frequent military drills across Europe, creating a Cold War-like arms race in which Russia claimed the U.S. was trying to undermine Moscow's power via a global missile shield.

Russia has also challenged Western ambitions abroad, entering the Syrian war on behalf of the embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in 2015. Facing a seven-year uprising by jihadis and West-backed rebels, the Syrian government has recovered much of its losses thanks to Russian and Iranian support. As the U.S. considered military action in response to claims that Syria's armed forces had used chemical weapons in a rebel enclave outside Damascus, Russian officials threatened to hit back.

Russia's resurgence has prompted Trump to adopt a harsher stance against his former political ally, Putin. Like the Russian leader, Trump has sought to modernize and enhance his country's nuclear arsenal and potentially even develop "Space Forces." Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Wednesday that such a move would be akin to "opening a Pandora's box."

In an effort to revolutionize his own nuclear triad, Putin unveiled a number of new, advanced weapons that he said were capable of overcoming even the most advanced U.S. defenses. These weapons, which included the Sarmat RS-28 "Satan 2" intercontinental ballistic missile, a "doomsday" torpedo and a nuclear-powered cruise missile, were already reportedly undergoing testing.

For the secular world, these turns of events may have been normal. However, any bible believing Christians, the signs are ominous. In previous study, we have identified Russia as the modern day Edom. Edom was the brother of Jacob, sons of Isaac. He sold his birthright to Jacob over a meal and that is a big rejection of God's own holy blessing. He was then despised of God that instead of a holy blessing from Isaac, he received a curse.

Gen 27:39-40
39 His father Isaac answered him, "Your dwelling will be away from the earth's richness, away from the dew of heaven above. 40 You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will throw his yoke from off your neck."

So for thousands of years, Edom now Russia and her allies remained under the "yoke" or less powerful than the West. For centuries, they had never become a world superpower to rule the world, they simply become a follower never a leader fulfilling the prophecy that they will be under the yoke of his brother.  Yet he had lived by the sword. Edom's many wives were all Gentiles, specifically women from the Arab, Assyrian and Persian nations and therefore Edom's descendants are also from those nations. All these nations until today have been ruling by the sword - either by Islamic Law, socialism or communism which are the exact opposite of democracy as the West had chosen to rule.

They have not surpassed the might of the West - the descendants of Jacob or Israel until we read the above news headline. This means only one thing that the end is coming nearer. Russia will become the most powerful nation on earth. Together with the Arab world, they will overwhelm Europe then the rest of the world including the USA. It will not surprise me if we soon see ISIS rises again and finds a super ally in Russia. This is the time when Edom grow restless, that he will throw Jacob's yoke from off his neck. It has started.

But why are these sudden turn around? We may not notice it yet for now but I am sure that if a war breaks out today between the West and her enemies, the West will be mercilessly defeated. The answer have been obvious when looking at the deteriorating morality and spirituality of the West. They are now becoming a godless society, promoting the usual wrongs to become right. They have removed prayers in the public places, discrediting the Bible, disrespectful to people in authority and to their own laws, unruly, protecting and promoting the religion of the foreign people while persecuting Christians in its own territory - to name a few. These are the things that Israel were doing prior to its fall to the Assyrian Empire in 872 BC. We are seeing the repeat of history. Only when God's chosen people rejects God's Word that they become weak and helpless. Based on what the West is doing, I don't see them repenting and seek the Lord.

This is to fulfill the prophecy from Isaiah - a picture of godlessness, lovers of pleasure than lovers of God:

The Lord, the Lord Almighty, called you on that day to weep and to wail, to tear out your hair and put on sackcloth.

But see, there is joy and revelry, slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine! “Let us eat and drink,” you say, “for tomorrow we die!”
(Isa 22:12-13)
